Joyce is an accredited Mediator on the panel of the Bar Council Malaysian Mediation Centre (a member of Asian Mediation Association). She graduated with honours from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2003 and commenced her career in Malaysia within the mortgage industry with OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Bhd and thereafter CIMB Bank Berhad. In 2008, Joyce completed her pupillage in Sreenevasan. Thereafter, she continued her practice at Sreenevasan where she gained exposures in civil, commercial and intellectual property litigation.
In 2009, Joyce joined Desmond Chan & Co where she handled various conveyancing and corporate matters for financial institutions, corporations and foreign and local individuals. Subsequently, Joyce was invited to join Donny Wong & Co where she gained more exposure to dealing with foreign individual and corporations purchasing and disposing off real properties. Joyce is well-versed in local and national areas of land laws and regulations that will ensure a practical and reliable service, with clear, common sense advice. Over the years, she has developed excellent relationships with many clients (whether locally or abroad including some international embassy officers and consular office ambassadors), real state agency leaders and developers, enabling our firm to ensure that interests of our clients are protected every step of the way.
Joyce’s primary areas of practice are conveyancing (both for sale and purchase transactions as well as loan transactions), tenancy, financing, contract and corporate. She has been involved in various housing and project development projects which covers sale and purchase agreement (both primary and secondary markets), loan agreements, succession, trust, deed of assignments, facilities agreements, charge documents and security documents as well as Islamic banking related works.
